📋 Instructions & Growing Tips

Sow indoors 6-8 weeks before your last frost date. Keep soil warm, around 75-degrees F, and moist. When seedlings emerge, provide heat and light during the day to promote growth. Before transplanting after the last frost, place seedlings outdoors for a few hours at a time, progressing to a full day, to harden them. When daytime temperatures have risen above 70-degrees F (night time 55-degrees F), transplant to a sunny spot with rich, moist soil, and supporting structures for vine growth. Water 1-inch per week. Feed every 4-6 weeks for production until the first frost.

For the best flavor, harvest fully grown, firm, ripe fruits, with a deep red almost purple color, by clipping the stem close to the fruit. Indeterminate vines continue producing tomatoes until the first frost.

Companion Planting: Not only do tomatoes and basil taste great together, they grow great together. Growing basil next to tomatoes will yield better tomato crops as well as repel bugs.
