DESCRIPTION

Not only is Italian Flat Leaf Parsley a perfect garnish, it has countless culinary uses–especially in sauces, salads, and soups–and is a healthy source of vitamins and antioxidants. Premium, open pollinated, non-GMO Dark Green Italian Flat Leaf Parsley Seeds from The Old Farmer's Almanac have high germination rates and are proudly sourced from American farms.

Freshly Packed: These seeds are packed for the current growing season and will provide high germination rates next year as well.

Premium Packaging: All seeds from The Old Farmer’s Almanac are packaged in individually styled packets ideal for gifts, storage or immediate use. Each packet displays the flower, vegetable, plant or herb variety on the front with instructions and plant facts on the back.

Parsley can be sown directly outdoors 2-3 weeks after the final frost date; but if you're looking for an early start, plant indoors 10-12 weeks earlier. Pre-soak seeds for 8-12 hours to accelerate germination; and then sow 2-3 seeds per group 1/4" deep in rich, well-drained soil in full sun. As seedlings grow, thin to 1 plant per group and ensure spacing of 8-12" between plants. To harvest, cut exterior leaves from around the central crown as this will encourage additional growth.

Enjoy Parsley all year round, replant a parsley plant in a deep pot and keep it in a sunny window in the kitchen. Snip and enjoy!

Trying to cut down on salt? Parsley lessens the need for salt in soups; and it tastes great fried as a side dish with meat and potatoes.

Wit & Wisdom: Add a parsley infusion to bathwater to soothe and cleanse. Read The Old Farmer's Almanac Parsley Growing Guide!
